Journal of the Hellenic Diaspora, Special Issue
 
Devoted to Helen Papanikolas

Volume 29.2 of the Journal of the Hellenic Diaspora (2003) is a special issue devoted to the Greek-American author and historian Helen Papanikolas. Guest edited by Dan Georgakas and Steve Frangos, it includes articles by several noted scholars on the work of historiography and the influence of Papanikolas.

Contents

The contents are divided into four sections:

  1. The Historical is Personal, articles by Zeese Papanikolas, Artemis Leontis, Philip Notarianni, Alice Scourby and Dan Georgakas.
  2. A Dialogue with Helen Papanikolas, by Penelope Karageorge.
  3. The Personal is Historical, articles by Spyros D. Orfanos, Tom Doulis, Andrew Kopan, G. James Patterson, Charles Moskos, Richard Clogg, Linda Manney, Alexander Karanikas, and Mary Kotsaftis.
  4. Contextualizing the Historial and the Personal, by Steve Frangos.
